Below are two more pics
The first is of Mark Hansen and the frame of the center room his home that he is going to build using Cal Earth’s Super-adobe building techniques. His design is a groined vault, where two vaults meet and make an X. We helped him work on stabilizing the walls of his water catchment for about 3 hours. Then he gave us a tour of his garden.
On our way home, we stopped at a lovely farmer’s market. When we got home, Mark and I worked on our composting system that will be the length of the North wall.
Dear Mark and Rachel, You will get to see a Cal-Earth home going up in HI. I’m home by myself this week end and Sam and Stephanie went to Chicago and all the rest are at CedarsCamps. At church today I learned Lauren Dickey has a job in Wash. DC for the government, working in foreign relations, specifically with China. She will be moving very soon. It will be a nice sunny night for our concert tonight. Love, Mother
Hi Mark and Rachel! Looks like things are moving right along with your Hawaiian home! Is this considered the colder time of year? We ask because in those photos, y’all are wearing long pants, long-sleeved shirts, hats, etc… Wish we could try a taste of that soursop fruit! Love you guys, — Tom and Leiza
